Aims

The University Alliance was founded with the following common objectives:

• to raise the profile of the three large universities of the Ruhr under a common rband,
• to enhance their international visibility,
• to establish a coherent quality system and
• to develop further excellent strongholds in both research and teaching,
  by
  • cooperation on all appropriate levels
  • harmonized study courses
  • infrastructure sharing
  • common institutions

The Alliance Universities work towards:

• cooperation on all appropriate levels
• development of particular research strongholds
• a harmonized study course system
• infrastructure sharing and development of common standards
• development of common institutions and services
